Being a portrait photographer that primarily focuses in working with women makes my business somewhat unique. I say this because nearly every woman I meet, and that I tell that I'm a photographer, tells me that they cannot take a good picture. It's generally not because they think they are not photogenic (although I hear that too!). It's more that they feel like things have changed in their appearance from when they were younger, or maybe they've run into people in their life that have not been kind (hello high school!), or that they simply have never had a professional portrait taken by someone who understands lighting and posing women, and has a fabulous team that creates hair and makeup looks that enhance ones own beauty, not masks or overwhelms it (thanks Sarah!).
This shoot might have had a few of those elements (as they all seem to). I had three beautiful ladies in for a "Girls Day Out". I was excited going into the shoot because I knew when I met all the ladies and talked to them at the wardrobe consultation that we were going to make some magic. Here are a few of my favorite images from the day- those EYES!:
And we can't forget dad who came for a few shots at the end of the day....
And then these two. Unfortunately only one of the sisters was able to come to see the images at the reveal, but this gorgeous lady turned to me and said "Is that really me?!" Yes it is and you are beautiful! This and the next one are my most favorite images from the entire day. :)
I hope you like them! And don't wait to get into images ladies. If you're the lady that runs out of the room when the camera comes out, or thinks they can't take a beautiful image, then we need to talk. :) #existinimages
