I am an admin for a Facebook group with that consists of over 16,000 photographer members.  It originated with a photographer that I have taken many classes with over the last couple of years, Sue Bryce (http://inbedwithsue.com), and has grown into simply a women's portriature focus with mentor's within the group that inspire others along in their journey.  One of those mentors has a style which I also love, Craig Lamere (http://craiglamere.com/), and he recently levied a challenge to the group to make a flower head piece for shoots using only Dollar Store flowers and a popcorn style paper bucket.

Being the creative person that I am, I was all in from the word "GO"! That day I ran out to the Dollar Store and also went in search of a popcorn bucket.  I went to a few places with and had no luck, but then KFC and their buckets came to mind! They were kind enough to let me have one, so I was off to the races.   Here's where I started:

I only used one of the $5 garlands, I'm saving the other one for my underwater shoots, but that's a completely different post. ;-)  Anyway, a free bucket, some hot glue, and $9 worth of flowers and here is an image of the final look.  It is accented by my lovely hair and makeup artist Sarah Yancey of Ardent Salon (http://ardentsalon.com/), a $3 thrift top, and a tulle skirt I made for shoots.  I hope you enjoy!
